Review on 🌞 ACOPOWER Midas 40A MPPT Solar Charge Controller: Efficient PV Negative Ground Controller for 12/24V Solar Panels & Battery Charging (2020) by Eric Dubreuil

So this is my fourth solar charge controller and my second MPPT controller. My first impression when I opened the box was the good workmanship. It was heavy, made of quality materials, and felt like it was built to last. I plugged it in to test and was almost embarrassed to attach a modest 30 watt panel to it for testing, but it was all I wanted. had in stock. It recognized my battery immediately and when I plugged in the panel it took a few seconds to start recording and displaying charge information. When connecting the cables, I noticed that the cable connectors were larger than my 30A MPPT controller, so I could easily plug in thicker cables. I like the display because when you have a load connected it automatically rotates through all the information you need to see for your battery, your solar array and the load. You don't have to make menu selections or press any buttons to get the information you need about your battery or solar system, all information is automatically displayed on the screen as it rotates through multiple display screens. And one of the features that I really like is the ability to turn off the load output. My PWM controllers don't have this option, and since I'm not using a load output, it's nice to be able to just turn it off. I have to say I'm really impressed with the build quality and features. This is a well thought out product that I think will last for many years.
