Review on Fernco P1056 44 4 Inch Stock Coupling by Tay Fair

I bought this specifically to fit an adapter to the dust collection outlet on woodworking machines and it doesn't fit. I wish I'd read another reviewer who had the same problem but somehow I missed it. I have an adapter to convert the 4" connector to a 2 1/2" connector to fit my shop vacuum. But the tool connector AND mine Adapters are both 4" OD so they won't connect. Again a mistake on my part. I thought this coupler had a 4" ID and would allow me to fit this adapter. The description says there are 4, 02" but the inside diameter is larger. People have described it as a quality item and it appears to be very well made for what it is actually used for h is used. But it won't work for my intended purpose.
