Review on 🧶 Boye 3396260001W Crochet Hooks in Lovely Pink by Lori Aguirre

I bought this set from Walmart for about $16 just to try it out. Couldn't beat the price. I found that the hooks in the set I purchased were inserted into the handles with the wrong orientation. (I crochet in pencil.) The handles have a flattened area which I assume is for a thumb rest. Placing your thumb there twists the hook itself far, almost away from the way the yarn is knitted. I'm tempted to grab a pair of pliers and see if I can rotate them so the hook lines up with the thumb rest, but I'm afraid that will damage them. I gave them 3 stars because the coverage is very good, too bad the hooks weren't fitted properly. My favorite handle crochet hooks are Tulip Etimo. Although my favorite, because of the hooks themselves, is the Susan Bates line. Unfortunately, "Susan Bates Pens" are useless to knitters like me. UPDATE: I was able to turn the hooks the right way with pliers and protect the metal hook with a towel. The zipper can also sometimes be a bit difficult to close after a little more fiddling with the case.
