In two months of owning this toaster it has gone from almost perfectly even toast to complete insanity. Wash. This attached photo shows two sides of the same toast. I first noticed the unevenness when I bought a loaf of thick white bread that was only lightly toasted all over except the top 1/4 side, which burned every time. I've tried turning the toast halfway, but without perfect timing, premature charring still occurs on one side. The attached photo is actually my best attempt at flipping it, and as you can see, one side facing in is still much darker than the other. It happens to everyone. Single. Time. If the return date wasn't so far away I would have requested a refund. The second glaring downside is the length of the cord. To toast it is hardly enough to pull the toaster out from under the cupboard. Why have a channel for cable routing under the thing when the cable doesn't even go for that? Do people really hide the cable between applications? In any case, this is only a small problem. The fact that this thing can't even properly perform its primary function should be enough to put users off.
