This toaster is very stable. He makes a very uneven toast every time. We have had this toaster for 8 months now. We bought it because it's wide, has room for four toasts, and was recommended by America's Test Kitchen. The problem is that it doesn't work at all. The edge is always burned. Check out the morning toast. A burnt corner, an unroasted corner. This is not a one time scam. I tried this toast in four different positions. Some parts are hotter than others and that seems to be changing. That was the best result of today's toast test. The results are the same as a small English muffin, bagel or sandwich bread. Always burnt edge. There's also a design flaw: if you place a long piece of bread, you'll always have a gap of untoasted bread, since they have four element quadrants on each side. In the center there is a space of about an inch and a half where there are no elements at all. This is NOT a good toaster.
