Bad reviews seem to contradict our experience.

We've only had this toaster for a week. So the long-term quality will show. So far this is a great toaster. I don't understand the bad reviews on this product unless there are quality issues at the factory. There are no sharp edges, everything is fried relatively evenly. Would buy these again without hesitation. The noise at the end of the toasting cycle is not as loud as the noise of the spring mechanism at the end of the toasting cycle. Update: We still love this toaster. Same quality as when

Breville is the worst company in the world

I can't imagine a toaster oven being a complex "engineering". Click the lever to toast the bread when the time is up. Breville can't even get the basic functions of a toaster working. I owned this toaster for 6 months when it stopped working. I called Breville's "Customer Service" to see if they would replace the failed unit after waiting almost 45 minutes with no joy. Breville has no idea about the consumer, the bond of trust with the manufacturer, and the warranty is a joke when they don't…

It's the Guardian!

You'll find my 2-slot toaster reviews all over Cuisinart and KitchenAid. There will be no toast. Roast very uneven. Toast evenly, but only on one side of the bread. HOORAY! Open, use, repackage, return, order next. Open, use, repackage, return, order next. Breville model with two discs - the goalkeeper! Toasted two slices of bread straight out of the box. The bagels were perfect. My compliments to our friends in Australia for designing and building a great toaster. I would also like to say a…

Cons
  • Old

While we insist on the 'Lift and See' feature, this one doesn't lift the bread as high as our old one. Even lifting to the max, pulling out English muffins or smaller loaves of bread with your fingers is impossible. Too hot. I have to buy tongs as we like to get our bread really hot so the spreads melt quickly. Additional comment: 10-8-18 - cooked unevenly on both sides. If left so that one side is well fried, the other side will start to burn. Processing this week or later. I am returning this

Definitely no dancing or singing

I have had this toaster for over 2 years now. I've used the $8-10 series of toasters for several years with mixed results. This toaster ranked #1 in consumer reviews, so I had high hopes for it. At first I was depressed. It's a good toaster, looks good and is as easy to use as any toaster, but it didn't beat my last cheap toaster. To be honest I was expecting dancing and toasting given the price. Shortly after the return period had expired, I began to have problems with the elements. I got…

Consistently bad toast

This toaster is very stable. He makes a very uneven toast every time. We have had this toaster for 8 months now. We bought it because it's wide, has room for four toasts, and was recommended by America's Test Kitchen. The problem is that it doesn't work at all. The edge is always burned. Check out the morning toast. A burnt corner, an unroasted corner. This is not a one time scam. I tried this toast in four different positions. Some parts are hotter than others and that seems to be changing…

Nice looking but otherwise disappointing toaster

The Breville BTA730XL looks good but doesn't even toast terribly. First off, if you think you're going to be using this toaster to toast a long slice of bread, think differently as there are no heating elements in the middle meaning you'll end up with burnt toast at the ends and all white be. and not toasted in the middle. Also, many toast strings don't light up, sometimes entire strips (feels like they're too tight). There seems to be a lack of quality control when it comes to heating…

I loved this toaster until it was 1 1/2 years old.

I loved this toaster until it lasted a year and a half. I have a juicer from the same company and it's wonderful too. This toaster is fantastic, it toasts well, love being able to pull out the toast to make sure it's off and add a little extra time if it's not toasted enough. However, like most things made these days, it breaks shortly after the warranty expires. Yes it seems no matter how great and amazing you make something these days make sure you test it and make sure it breaks right after…
