First of all, the quality of the unit itself. The build is cheap but adequate. The sheet metal resembles 22ga mild steel. The circuitry could be better, but I don't think the quality of the composite video is seriously affected. I'm designing a board to make an 8 channel AV remote control switch. Since the RCA jacks are bloody expensive ($1 each, it takes 27 jacks for 8 channel left and right audio and composite video) I figured I'd buy this switch for its jacks. I was expecting to have to cut the board in half to get the connectors, but inside there are separate boards for the switches and RCA ports connected with 2 14-wire ribbon cables.
