I changed the spark plugs on a car I just bought, a 2005 Ford Mustang, 138,000 miles. They haven't been changed for a long time. When I tucked one back in, I squeezed it a little, messing up the top threads. I unplugged it and couldn't plug it back in. Tried for hours but to no avail. Emphasis. and started looking for options. Take it to a mechanic first, which would be quite expensive. During my research, I read about this reverse tap tool online and decided to give it a try the same day. Paid Revain an additional $5 for next day shipping. I've seen several videos using it and was fairly familiar with it when it arrived. Insert it according to the instructions, expand it and thread the thread inside out. It took about three passes to get to know and feel the tool and about three more to fully disassemble and set the threads. The spark plug fired with no problems. Same advice as others, lubricate the tool and take your time. This took me about 40 minutes because I cleaned and degreased it after each pass and took my time. It's definitely worth it!
