Disappointing kitchen and dining item

I ordered this can opener on recommendation from America's Test Kitchen. Unfortunately, after 4 months in a clockwise direction, it no longer opens correctly. I can only use it counterclockwise. Otherwise parts of the jar will remain unopened. It also rusted very easily. Disappointing because it was really easy to use and comfortable when it worked.
