I want to share a few facts about my experience with these speakers and their setup to help others who may be stumped like me to make a decision. I'm a very experienced rider and have tried MANY sets of speakers, headsets, headphones etc hoping to get decent sound quality in my helmet. I drive the R1200RT for around 10-15k a year and while I've found better sound quality with good quality headphones, after repeated use they can become uncomfortable for long days and long rides. After reading the description and other conflicting reviews, I decided to try "another" pair of helmet speakers in the hopes that they would change my life. I am using speakers in a modular helmet connected to a Sena 20S Bluetooth device that connects to the bike wirelessly. I can sum up the whole experience by saying. Wow! You need it! They're about as close to headphone quality as a speaker in a helmet. I was really amazed! They are worth the $120 I paid. As the description and manufacturer suggest, it is very important that you use the supplied pads so that the speakers sit directly against your ear when wearing the helmet, otherwise you will not get the volume you expect. In terms of quality they are great and have a surprising amount of bass without being over the top. I had an issue with the first pair I got and after swapping out the Sena 20S unit I discovered they were speakers. Unlike other reviewers, when I contacted iASUS customer service, Curtis was very forthcoming and tried to help me resolve my issues. When it was discovered that I might have received a marriage, they immediately mailed a new pair for free and I received them within 2 days. Zero problems with block exchange. I am very happy with my purchase and will convince all my riding friends to buy a set of these helmet speakers.
