I am using this encoder to stream a computer display of a magazine program to remote locations over a private fiber optic network. I'm a broadcast engineer and I have $5k-$8k professional video encoders from well known brands for H.264 video streaming. For the price, it's not too bad, although you do need to understand what you're doing to set them up. Remotely view the UDP multicast streams this device creates, both the primary stream as H.265 and the secondary stream as H.264, they work fine on VLC player on PC. The problem I'm having is that I also bought some hardware decoders from URayTech and they don't decode H.265 cleanly and randomly have weird colors at the bottom of the screen. See attached photo. This does not happen in the secondary H.264 stream. VLC has no problems with this, only hardware decoders. I've tried many changes to the settings and couldn't get rid of the problem. If there's a firmware update that fixes this that would be great, but Linde's company email hasn't been bounced back.
