UPDATE: Later tonight. I made the stupid mistake of stealing a box of end mills from my workbench and now I only have three (possibly usable) end mills left. They all burst at the same moment. Don't get me wrong, dropping a machine is bad news, but I've never seen anything as fragile as this. Too much material was removed at the top of the groove (right at the end of its working length), causing 3/10ths of the bits to snap right there, no matter how conservative the toolpath was. I don't usually have a problem, even with cheap cutters, they don't usually hold the blade that long, but they can be touched up. They bind no matter how I plan my lines/feeds and speeds. I've had good luck using HQMaster's 6mm Single Flute for cutting 6061 aluminum, it was a flop
