Review on Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut Liquid Metal by Micha wierczewski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I didn't expect the quality to be so high.

After application, I used the laptop for several weeks. He became quieter and colder. Now, when the load is only on the processor, the coolers work quietly, earlier, at a load of > 50%, the coolers began to noticeably make noise. There are no elements around the CPU die, but resistors / capacitors are installed around the GPU. Protected them from liquid metal with PLASTIK-71 varnish, also left some thermal paste around to protect in case of a small leak during the first installation. Thermal paste was Thermal Grizzy Kryonaut. If anyone is interested in more details write in the comments.

Pros
  • I decided to replace the thermal paste with ZhM in the MSI GS65 8RE laptop. The result is noticeable immediately. The temperature dropped under any load (including games, rendering, etc.). If we compare in synthetics (indoors + 25C) at 100% load of the CPU and GPU: thermal paste - 90-92 degrees CPU, frequency ~ 2.7 GHz, GPU 80 degrees; ZhM - 85-90 degrees CPU, frequency ~ 3.2GHz, GPU 80 degrees; In real use (games), the CPU temperature is not higher than 80C with a load on all cores, the frequency is 3.7 GHz (3.7 - I set it myself in the BIOS with a load on all cores). Gone throttling completely, now everything rests on the heat pack of the CPU.
Cons
  • It was hard to apply the first time. I didn't notice any difference on the GPU.
