Yes, they are cheaply made. But BONUS! Something that works and is inexpensive! They completely solve the problem of friction burns from extensive crocheting. My only complaint is that the ring portion isn't more central. I've tried a few more expensive thread guides that didn't fit or helped pull the thread off my finger. I have pretty small fingers. They have some ability to stretch for the thumbs. I will definitely buy more of these.
