I put this on my semi-bathroom toilet, and since my toilet is clearly visible from the door, I'm worried that the 'motion detection' will cause the light stays on longer than necessary, sacrificing battery life. I find myself constantly closing the bathroom door to dim the light. Placing it on the opposite side of the toilet, facing the wall, defeats the purpose of motion detection. Ultimately, this isn't a bad product, but remember where your toilet is in relation to the door for it to work. Don't force the light to stay on all the time or turn it on unnecessarily.
