The sound quality is not very good and the product does not work as a desk phone: the handset cord is so tight that it the phone base rips off the desk when you pick up the handset and the phone cord doesn't stay connected at the back. See photo. There is a cable channel on the back of the phone, but the thin cable that comes with this unit comes straight out. Generally bad quality. Despite being one of the cheapest phones available on Amazon, I bought another, much higher quality one (an AT&T TR1909 Trimline corded phone with caller ID) for less than a dollar more. After all, the color isn't "purple" (it's expected to be a violet color), it's a reddish violet. Verdict: It works like a phone, and if you're looking for the cheapest phone you can buy, this is it. That's why I gave two stars. But it's cheap and cumbersome to use, and you have to screw it to the wall. For less than a dollar you can buy a phone 10 times better than this one (see above).
