I figured for the price I could always get a better quality replacement if that turned out to be disappointing; What a surprise! It seems sturdy enough to be easily mounted on the roof of my unit while carefully sealing the inlet. The gland packings are fairly flexible so I would expect them to seal very well. The case isn't drilled for mounting, but that's a good thing. You can determine the best position for the screws in your installation and drill the holes accordingly. If you don't want to use screws, tape the case to a roof or wall without screw holes to loosen the hold of the tape. If I were to do a different setup, this would be my preferred way of running cables through my roof sealant from the outside. The size is just right.
