I've never seen a microphone clip without a threaded metal insert. So didn't think to check this, although in hindsight one of the pictures of the product clearly shows that the thread is tapped directly into the plastic material of the clip. So I'm deducting two stars for lack of reliability. And compared to other mic clips I have that have the same elliptical design, this one doesn't hold the mic very securely. On Stage makes much more durable clips for the same price (about $4 each). Surprised that Revane named it after them.
