The most accurate I used was
. I needed a new stud finder that was accurate. I've had issues with other manufacturers getting different readings every time a hairpin passes. Sometimes it was attached to each side of the bobby pin, giving me a chance to measure down the middle. I was surprised how accurate this model is. It is fixed in the center of the bolt. He was tested over a wide area, and every time he found the middle. It's so sensitive that I've learned not to touch the wall as it messes up the measurements. The instructions rightly warn of a hard wall. Safest thing I've used so far!
