Review on πŸ₯‘ OXO Good Grips Avocado Tools - Scoop, Smash, and Masher in Black by Jose Gerber

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to use and works well

I chose this avocado tool (I couldn't think of a better or more descriptive name for it) for working with avocados. It's an odd looking beast and I wasn't sure how well it would work, but it turned out to be a useful tool. At first glance, it looks like a green-gray lawn arrow with a blunt nose. The gray fins are stiff while the green ones are more flexible. Think of the difference between a plastic spatula and a silicone scraper in terms of hardness and flexibility, and that's quite an approximation of the difference in the fins. The hard blades are rounded and are useful for easily removing the flesh from the skin of an avocado, while the softer blade makes a good scraper. In the upright position everything works like a good chopper/chopper. It certainly doesn't do as thorough a job as an immersion blender or food processor, but the idea here is to puree and chop rather than liquefy. As designed and intended for its intended role, it works very well and reduces much of the mashing process, saving time compared to a traditional mortar and pestle tool. I haven't used it much, but it will find much more use in my kitchen. the time is running. This greatly simplifies the processing of avocados.
