I purchased 7 of these plugs to set up a large Christmas display at my house. I was amazed at how easy they were to set up, and the integration to Alexa was seamless. I put them in a group, on my echo devices with a routine of what time to turn them on and off each night. It was really easy to do. This was super easy to set up, especially since I already had a Smart Life account setup. Took less than 2 minutes after opening the box. If I recall correctly, it took maybe another 3 or 4 minutes to set up my Smart Life account with the first device (this is my second one). This is cheaper than one of those hardware electrical cord timers and comes with more features since it's controlled with software. I've got all my christmas lights hooked up and it works perfectly!

I spent WAY too much time trying to get this set up. I have a dual band router, so the first thing I had to do was to switch over to 2.4Ghz as instructed. Unfortunately, my Google Home would not recognize the 2.4Ghz band, so I won't be able to connect the switch to it. Instead, I have to use the app on my phone to turn the lights on/off "manually." I purchased it to control watering plants. Easy task that could be controlled by mechanic relay but I wanted to have more flexible schedule. So my load is relatively small, and I can't say much about how the plug takes high load. But the rest works fine, the gadget was detected by TuyaSmart app and I added it to Alexa without any issue.

I knew going in that this only had 2.4ghz available, but it's still my biggest complaint. App can be inconsistent on pairing and setup, especially once wifi signal goes below -75dB or so. Even with -69dB there can be a lag between selecting an outlet on in the app, and the icon turning white to say it's powered, and vice versa.
