I was leery about this item at first. I needed a WiFi outlet for my Christmas lights and all the others I've had were too big to use multiple outlets and fit into the weatherproof box outside. I had to return several that advertised the capability, but didn't deliver. Others couldn't stay connected to the WiFi.This solved both problems. The long cord allows easy plug in in most outlets. In additions, it has two independent outlets itself which solved my need to use two outlets. The fact they are independent of one another is a bonus and allows for each outlet to be triggered differently, if needed.The WiFi also appears to be working perfect. While it doesn't run off 5ghz, only 2.4, this is better in most situations as the speed is less relevant for a product like this, and instead the extra distance that a 2.4ghz network offers is better (I have it outside after all, when my mesh network is indoors).The product connected easily using the Smart Home app, then immediately was found within my Alexa app. This allowed quick, easy control using my Echo device. Which is exactly what I wanted with this product.The only thing I've yet to truly test, but have no doubt it will work, is the waterproof portion. I knew I needed this feature as I live in Florida and I needed it for Christmas lights (and other things I will use it for I'm sure). So while it hasn't rained in the time I've had it plugged in, the combination of this product and the GFCI outlet will no doubt survive the rain. I don't recommend submerging this, but then again, it's not advertised as rated for submerging. My outlet is mostly covered by overhand, but indirect rain should be acceptable.Overall, this product is exactly what I needed it for. It may not be the most gorgeous looking device, and it is a bit bulky, it isn't being used for indoor aesthetics. If that is an issue for you, maybe look elsewhere. But for an outdoor WiFi enabled outlet that works seamlessly with Alexa? This is a great deal. Not only is each plug two outlets, but you get two (that's four connections total, all independent), for only a couple dollars more than most other WiFi plugs on the market.
