I spent WAY too much time trying to get this set up. I have a dual band router, so the first thing I had to do was to switch over to 2.4Ghz as instructed. Unfortunately, my Google Home would not recognize the 2.4Ghz band, so I won't be able to connect the switch to it. Instead, I have to use the app on my phone to turn the lights on/off "manually." I also was trying to set it up on my phone as well as my wife's. Unfortunately, you can only link the switch to ONE device. It doesn't tell you that anywhere, so I went back and forth with it a couple of times (it reset everything any time I unplugged the switch or reset the connection) until I realized what it was doing. So now I'm the only one with remote access to the switch, and I have to use my phone.So ultimately I ended up with a wifi switch that I can only control through an app on my phone (includes a handy timer), or manually at the switch. This is better than what we had before, but a major disappointment from what I was expecting. If you want to use it with your Google Home, make sure you can get the Google Home on a 2.4 band first.
