Maybe I'll adjust to how badly it works; it has workarounds. For now I'm just hoping to get enough use out of it that I don't feel like I wasted my money before replacing it with something that works better. I didn't buy it because it's cheap, but because it's compact and didn't have more complaints than similar players. But it doesn't read discs well. It never goes straight to the menu but can start playback at any point on the disc, feature or extra. It won't enter the menu until it plays something wrong for about half a minute, then you can force it to go to the menu and then start the movie from the beginning. On episode discs, the episode menu sometimes doesn't come up at all. This is truly the first worn out DVD player I have ever used and I would classify it as a piece of junk. Image quality is good though if you get crazy crashes to do what you need to watch a movie.
