Someone will notice that there are 15 years between these reviews and this one. I think scanners haven't improved much over the years so I should just go with the old one as it's cheaper and more modern PC peripherals that work with paper tend to break or bug what they do urges to just buy a newer "best" car. I scanned a color comic as a test and it looked like I was only reading the pages, but on my monitor! But unfortunately! There are no drivers for Windows 8 (my OS) and most likely Windows 10. I just used VirtualBox to run an instance of Windows XP, the fossil software works fine, thanks Canon for hosting the old software. My dealer had it like new, with a box, no software CD, but that's what the internet is for.
