I got 2 of these for my Honda Civic LX 07 after the site that put my new tires on found that the camber on my rear wheels was MUCH less and they couldn't set it up. They wanted me to pay over $700 for the parts and labor to replace it (like the mechanics would do) and then another $70 for alignment. I decided to do some research on the 8th Civic forums and found that this part was recommended and was only a fraction of what the mechanic wanted. On many of these vehicles there is a known issue with a control lever that is too short and not factory adjustable, leading to accelerated tire wear. There was a class action lawsuit, but Honda did not admit any wrongdoing. The filing deadline for this lawsuit has passed and Honda still won't acknowledge the issue as the solution was issued as a service bulletin, not a recall (don't call your Honda dealer, they most likely won't respond). attention) so that only those who have noticed excessive tire wear can correct it. Their solution was to make the control arm longer (still not adjustable), which supposedly solves the problem. After losing so many tires (mainly because I couldn't read the class action lawsuit materials properly), I didn't want to risk a new part of it. Both exchanged in 2 hours. This should have taken less time, but I had trouble removing one of the screws holding it to the frame. Soaking in WD-40 helped and I smeared it up a bit more before putting it back on. I took it back to the tire shop and they straightened it with no problem.
