Review on LG Ultragear 27GN95B B 4K Gaming Monitor with Adaptive Sync: Review and Features by Jpeg Tallie

Fantastic screen but not easy to set up

It's an amazing screen, love the color and G-sync works well for gaming. The mounting option works seamlessly and I love the LED backplate that adds to the ambiance while gaming. This particular screen is a business version, so I found that you won't find any support for this screen on the US version of the LG website. Out of the box the screen would automatically turn off when idle and wouldn't turn back on until you unplugged it - even after that it hit or missed when it was working. After a few hours of research I found that this was a known issue and there were driver updates that you had to download from LG to stop this. Well again the US LG site no longer lists this screen for support so no luck with drivers and updates on that site but the Australian site has it all. After downloading the driver and the Onscreen Control app, everything worked as expected. This issue was noticeable when using the display port at 144Hz to get the full quality. If you're using HDMI 2.1 it was still an issue but less noticeable and couldn't get true 144Hz. My suggestion, if you want to save yourself all that hassle, get another screen, but for the price, this is a great screen that's really good for video and gaming.
