We carry mulch and all sorts of messy garden stuff in our 2012 GMC Acadia. I always have a tarp laid out to protect the cab from dirt, dust and even wet bags. We don't use tarps for outside cover but they only seem to last 5+ years and are starting to smell and wear out. This 6x8 size is perfect for a car or small projects. A little too big for the interior of the car, but better than too small. He covers what he needs and then some. The thickness appears to be the same as our other lightweight tarpaulin. Having a tarp is a lot better than stacking thin sheets of plastic or tear paper from Home Depot. This tarp also comes with 10 ball bungee and 10 12" wire ties. This is not required for my use as I do not tie anything with this tarp. Nice to have as they can be used for something else. Every house needs a blue tarp. It can also be used as a duster or to protect bushes when cleaning the roof.
