Review on ๐ŸŒฑ 15 Pack Beeswax Wrap, Silicone Food Storage Bag & Stretch Lids: Eco-Friendly Reusable Food Wraps and Covers for Preserving Vegetable, Fruit, Snacks, and Lunch by Janet Nelson

Revainrating 1 out of 5

1. Great lids 2. Useless wax paper 3. VERY HEAVY bags

1. The bright spot in this product set is silicone lids. They stretch and wash. I use Pyrex glass food containers to store food in the fridge, but the heavy plastic lids break and become brittle around the edges. Silicone lids are an ideal replacement.2. First beeswax paper. This is NOT a stronger version of the old fashioned wax paper that comes in rolls. They are folded squares and almost impossible to unfold. Unfolding is similar to trying to peel off masking tape where the sticky sides are stuck together. If you try to unfold the papers they will leave a very sticky stain on your hands that WILL NOT WASH OUT WITH SOAP AND WATER! I had to use Goo Gone to remove the residue and I don't think it's a good idea to use Goo Gone on hand with its powerful solvents. As for the wax paper, I'm going to use regular old wax paper that comes in rolls, not this one. My feedback on silicone pouches is mixed as I've just washed them and haven't used them yet. On the other hand, they are very durable provided they don't collide with a knife or other sharp object. They were very difficult to open at first because the silicone walls of the bags literally stuck together. Having no interest in such physical training in the future, I have decided to put a large square of shredded old kitchen towels in each pocket before putting them away for storage. If you're short on storage space, a stack of these bags (stored horizontally) will take up space measuring 3 inches high, 9 inches wide, and 9 inches long. They won't stay folded, but you can fold or roll them up and store them in a resealable container that prevents them from opening flat. Plus, these bags are HEAVY! I weighed a package that together with the slider is approximately 9.25" x 8" and weighs 7.65 ounces! That's just under half a pound! Cupcakes or chips will break due to the weight of the sides of the bag.
