Review on 💿 Vantec 2.5" SATA SSD to USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type C Enclosure - Pocket Size, Silver by Johnny Grant

OS: Windows 10 ProPros: Compact and works. Includes tape and spare tape to attach to SSD for later removal. Cons: The case didn't open as advertised - supposedly the case needs to be held at an angle and will open (2 screws are used to prevent this from happening when the drive had to use the included screwdriver to open the case. With the included Das USB-C cable shows the SSD is a "disk" so you don't have TRIM support - honestly it could be a Windows issue but it's unlikely. Kabels didn't fix the issue TRIM I have a third party external enclosure that is USB 3.1 Gen 2 (not USB-C) and its enclosure supports TRIM and shows the SSD as "SSD" when drives are optimized.Notes : for those who use Samsung SSDs in these cases ?Samsung Magician is useless with drives connected via USB I use 2 different cases from 2 different manufacturers (including this one) and Samsung Magician does not offer support (BIOS update, optimization tests, benchmarking, etc.) for connected SSDs via USB ports. Be it USB-C connectivity or standard USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports. Remember to reserve 10% empty if you're paranoid about SSD wear. Final Verdict: It works. Just don't expect anything more than a basic drive.
