Only worked for 2 weeks

Although I really wanted to like the product, it's small, thin and light, made of aluminum - it only worked for 2 weeks A brand new Samsung EVO 850 Pro 500GB drive was installed. 2 weeks worked, now it is not mounted. The same drive in a different case works fine.

Clean the junk in the hard drive accessories

Not only does it not work, it is made of junk. The best question after you realize it's not working and want to eject the disc? How can you do that! :-)

High quality all aluminum case

This case is definitely the best USB C 3.1 Gen 2 case I've ever seen. The case is made entirely of aluminum, unlike other cases that are partially made of plastic. This is the only SATA 2.5 SSD enclosure made entirely of metal. Hard drives, as well as 2.5-inch SSDs, tend to be larger, and the SSD is unsecured and is usually only held by a SATA connection. This is not optimal and can cause the driver to rattle internally. Designed to efficiently dissipate the heat generated by 2.5" SATA SSDs…

Costs money! - Computer accessories and peripherals

Exceptionally well designed, manufactured and packaged. The body is beautifully machined from high quality CNC aluminum. It's only designed for one SSD and not much more than one. I bought several for safe system backups. They fit perfectly in a pelican case, which is carried back and forth between the house and the safe in my bank.

DOA Computer Accessories and Peripherals

I installed a brand new 2TB Samsung 860 EVO SSD in it and it was extremely unstable. It would randomly disconnect or freeze while copying a file or a test, and when it did the only way to recover was to disconnect and reconnect. I've tried several different USB cables (new and old are known to be good cables) and several different USB ports on my PC (front and back) and this case never worked properly. The hard drive works perfectly in the case from another manufacturer. I've been using Vantec…

Nice little case. Best in HDD Enclosures

OS: Windows 10 ProPros: Compact and works. Includes tape and spare tape to attach to SSD for later removal. Cons: The case didn't open as advertised - supposedly the case needs to be held at an angle and will open (2 screws are used to prevent this from happening when the drive had to use the included screwdriver to open the case. With the included Das USB-C cable shows the SSD is a "disk" so you don't have TRIM support - honestly it could be a Windows issue but it's unlikely. Kabels didn't fix
