Review on SharkBite 22630LF 2 Inch Residential Arrestor by Todd Fernandez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Expensive but worth it if you don't want to solder. Works great and fits together exactly as they claim.

Pricey, but if you can't or don't want to learn to solder, the SharkBite attachment system is surprisingly good. I had a severe water hammer from an outside faucet. Water hammer affects the pipes a lot and I was a little dubious that this system would work in a system that hammers. But I unsoldered the pipe at the existing 90 and cleaned the pipe ends. I put the SharkBite hardware on along with the shock and it was waterproof right away. I had my wife on the jet causing the shock and we worked the armature and shock as hard as we could without stressing the machine. I also bought a deburring tool (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000K6QFSU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) to help you set the pipe to the correct depth in SharkBite. but to be honest just stick it all the way in so I don't really know if this tool is needed and for $10 I don't think it's worth it. Also, this tool is not a deburring tool, just a gauge to give you the correct depth. However, I recommend disabling the clip. I tested the TEE once and without that release clip it would be a lot harder to take apart for installation and for $3 it would be worth it. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FPDFBQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
