Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Enhance Your Gaming Experience with Logitech G MX518 Gaming Mouse by John Douglas

Great return of the best accessory

Wow, I've always been surprised to see Logitech bring back the best gaming mouse ever! Believe it or not, I still use my original MX518 that I bought in 2005! It has never failed me, so I hesitated to buy it for fear of my original's evil eye. However, I decided to buy it at the office and I am very satisfied. It has the same shape, look and feel as the original, but it has some new technologies. The only difference in feel is the non-glossy bits on the sides and around the scroll wheel. The rubberized finish of the old 518 has been replaced with a rough, matte plastic. This is a big change as that rubber junk keeps going bad and turns into a gooey mess after a few years. The new paintwork is very nice. The odd wrinkled look is gone. The color starts with a glossy gray on the keys and fades to inky black behind the keys behind the scroll wheel. Tiny metallic speckles sparkle everywhere. They appear to be a mixture of reddish and greenish colors under fluorescent lights in the office, but glow bright silver when I shine my phone flash on them. I also looked into the new Logitech G HUB software but found it rather unintuitive. I had a hard time but ended up being able to save a few different profiles right in the mouse. This makes it possible to use mouse profiles on any computer with or without software. In short, if you want to bring back the glory days of CS 1.6 and HL2, don't hesitate to buy this piece of history reborn! After a few days of use I think it should live up to expectations. If the buttons last as long as my original ones, I'll use them until I die! I just have a few more to hide!

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings about it, everything is fine
