I read the reviews on this fan before using it and thought some of the people's quirks were acceptable given the looks and the price are right for my room. I was in the process of replacing a 15 year old ceiling fan so my experience with such old technology is comparable. The board is excellent. This was something our last one didn't have and when we tried to add a receiver box it didn't fit in the fan. That's not a problem at all. Everything is clearly labeled and easy to connect. It's not that hard compared to the old hunting fan we took off, it was practice. I like the different color lighting options, the beep isn't great but a lot of other things these days beep every time you press a key, I turned that off. The motor is quiet and the air it puts out is great, perfect for our old house with poor circulation.
