This is a cast of a real thumb and very good in that sense. However, it's just a flat color with a small white stripe on it. I took mine, repainted it and trimmed it a bit to look like a real severed thumb (photo attached). As for the hard drive itself, I had no problems with it. Paint it with acrylics and then spray on some clear coat when you're done and voila!
