My family has 6 hens that all lay medium sized eggs (buff Orpingtons, barred rocks, and Easter eggers). We were putting them in a bowl but it was getting difficult to dig for the oldest eggs everyday. This holder is perfect! Because it's new and I'm a bit obsessed, I tip all the eggs so they are vertical and we can fit 35 eggs plus the last one on the top. If they are all just rolling randomly and using gravity, they hold less. So far I've had no eggs fall out. I'm careful when I take one from the bottom but they seem to shift gently and easily. I love it! My only small complaint is it's a tad off centered so when you spin it, it's a little crooked. It doesn't seem to compromise the sturdiness but it's a little annoying. Otherwise it's fantastic! No more need to date eggs!
