Review on Pirelli Ice Zero 195/60 R15 88T winter by Wiktor Ambroziak ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very high quality product, it's not the first time I bought it.

I have never considered Pirelli as a worthy manufacturer of winter tires. Well, Italy is not ociated with a harsh winter. Last winter, by the will of fate, I got a company car in a winter pirelli and I realized that my previous opinions were empty stereotypes. This year, I already shod my personal car in this rubber, while I came to the tire shop not on summer tires (like many, and immediately notice negative changes compared to summer tires, which are initially more comfortable) but on nokian hakkapelita 4. Felt the difference right away. 1. Much softer, more comfortable rides over bumps such as railway crossings. 2. The adhesion resistance on asphalt is excellent. 3. Turns are more confident and predictable. 4. I have not really "felt" the ice yet, but the snow porridge is overcome remarkably. As for noise, I don’t consider this parameter appropriate for winter tires at all. winter road is not at all comfortable, safety first of all. I will look for comfort in the summer. But, I meticulously listened to the rumble and did not notice that it was very different from the rumble from Hakkapelita 4. It is slightly stronger, but this can be explained by the new condition of the rubber. I used to go to Michelin, Bridgestone, Hankuk, Yokohama. All this in spikes and Velcro. Outcome: stereotypes, score on the noise. Pirelli is a decent winter tire. Haven't tried summer yet.

Pros
  • The road "holds"! Feeling confident on the winter road. Attracted by the unusual shape of the spike. The price is lower than brand ogues.
Cons
  • Yes, it's noisy. I don't think that's a problem with winter tires.
