Excellent top coat when using gypsum and acrylic paints and metal pens (without gel).
I am using this product as the final layer for the Kindness Stone project. I have used this varnish over plaster and acrylic with good results. I've also had good results with Pilot Gold Markers, DecoColor Markers, Zig Silver, and Feela Brushes. It is *not* suitable if you are painting on rocks with a gel pen as this will cause the gel to bleed profusely. The rocks shown are painted with transparent plaster, then with acrylic paints, then with this glossy varnish. You can see some issues with the flower with the green center, white and yellow petals, but I've wiped away most of it.
