Avoid a dangling key. Works well but status light is bright. Uses USB-A output.

This hub worked fine in my 2021 M1 when connected to another USB-C to USB-A hub. It is convenient to connect USB-A drives and devices to this hub, located on the stand under the monitor, for temporary use. The speeds seem to be good. The very bright status light that stays on even when the Mac is in sleep annoys me. The build quality is good. The cable is thick and strong. You can use a USB-A to USB-C cable (not included) if you want to connect directly to your new Mac. Suitable for me when you want to avoid a dangling key.
