We bought these to replace the "Mickey" rubber backs that come with Disney pins so we can use them with Disney parks can wear shoelaces in the neck without losing them. We were so glad we did! All 7 members of our family loved wearing badges which made them easy to share and show off. It wouldn't be so fun to have pins in your pocket. Butterfly backs easily detach for removal, swapping, or replacement, but also snap into place and will not slip off the pins on their own. We probably found about 5-10 defective spines, which did not snap in a set of 120 pieces. But since we were aware of this possibility we always double checked how securely they were locked and we don't think that lost any pins. The purchase is definitely worth it!
