I love this little sucker! I just kept mumbling to myself that this was awesome! I have to admit I've never used cherry pits, to be honest I never knew they existed. But I thought, hey, they should. A quick search on Amazon and there were plenty of them. They have many individual pits, but there were only two different types that had more pits; one was for four, the other for six. For me it was a no-brainer β six, of course! I love this damn thing! This is very quick, but it can be difficult to distinguish the pits from the extracted piece of cherry pulp. I simply ran my hand under a tray of pitted cherries to remove any remaining pits. The only downside (although fairly expected) is the amount of juice released. After making a pound, I rinsed out the stoner, wiped it dry, and continued. It took about 45 minutes to make 7 pounds of cherries, including washing, stemming, pitting and placing the cherries on trays to dry.
