Bought this for my 5 year old's birthday. She loves tricky things. It was perfect for her, although I think it's just as appropriate for boys of the same age. I can get the box and lay out the parts and she can do everything herself. The instructions for each collage are in picture format, so no reading is required. She can only look at the pictures and follow every step. She needs help with small details from time to time, but on the whole she is quite independent. We made three of the four picture panels and I don't think there is an extra set. Had I had it, I probably would have bought it. I think it offers a little more organization for crafting than just messing around with a bunch of craft supplies. I love that it helps her learn to follow the steps. This will be a great Christmas present.
