It is very difficult to measure the efficiency of these filters. As far as I can tell, the vacuum works great, but the smallest particles can get deep into your lungs and cause terrible problems. After using this vacuum cleaner for several years, I am concerned that fine dust particles will seep through the second stage filter because black particles appear in the internal filter. Next time I change the filter, I want to put a white coffee filter in the inner filter to see how much carbon it picks up. If the coffee filter is very dirty, I can buy a vacuum cleaner with a three-stage filter system. It's too important to care.
