Haven't used it in water yet but in initial testing with an iPhone 7+ the phone fits in a pocket without my case but there is one major downside, the main button isn't activated due to the thick plastic. I wouldn't expect the fingerprint sensor to work, but I'm surprised the button doesn't work at all. You can send text messages and the like through plastic, but be aware your middle button won't work. Update after use: The screen doesn't work through the case when it's wet, can't control the screen underwater, and the middle button never works when it's in the case. . On the other hand, even at a depth of about 20 feet, the hull does not leak.
