Spiral coils - good economical threaded inserts. This kit does not come with a drill like most, but you will need a standard size drill and you probably already have one. There are two ways to install a spiral coil in a threaded hole made with the included tap. With this kit, you thread the insert onto a threaded insert tool (as opposed to a tool with a shouldered steel shank). The installation tool in this set has a small advantage as it makes it easier to install the insert when you need it at the bottom of the hole.
