Review on 💧 AQUA CREST WF2CB Refrigerator Water Filter Replacement: PureSource2, FC100, 9916, 469916 by Blake Mannasseh

I would really see this WF2CB compatible filter as a viable option given how expensive OEM filters are. Visually, the filter looks like an OEM filter, except that when you pull out the old (OEM) you can see slight differences in the connectors. Okay, okay, but as soon as I plug it in, I immediately see that it doesn't fit. The Aquacrest filter isn't perfectly aligned with the hole, and it's also a bit taller since you didn't fully insert it, but it is. What made me want to come back was that the water was cloudy. It was a little gray at first but I figured that was probably normal, but after flushing almost 2 gallons of water to prime it (to remove air in the line) the water is still cloudy. No way, dammit, I'm drinking it. So I reconnected the old one, the water drained more slowly, but cleanly. Ahhh, there is nothing left but to pay the OEM price.
