This is one of those "Oh! I can craft and sell them! And they didn't reinforce the "path" on the frame OR any part of it! Feels like "soft" steel. And it bends very easily! They have never worked properly since the day I opened the package. But I "can" fix everything. But this piece of junk requires a "heavy" investment to make it even "barely" usable! This is not a clone! If only one of these would work! I would really just have to tinker and build another one from scratch. Or buy a real pair = "Brown and Sharp" or "Mitutoyo". But I only wanted this pair for my barn. "Put up a lawn mower or something." It's not like that. He has trouble reading the glass scale built into the frame. Tolerances are so sloppy that adjusting the pin nut from the top is useless and gets stuck after an inch of travel. "From ANY zero point you choose"! I "tweaked" this until it "kinda" worked most of the week. But then it suddenly started resetting to zero every two seconds during use. So there is (0.050 inch) between the frame and the top/bottom of the slide. Why? Because of the attachment of the slide to the sensor? the tail attached to the sensor head comes out at an angle! Or he gets stuck! So Bad Move Loses zero and ties anything after (4") when measuring!"From (0)". And it bends easily. I warned you! Good luck!
