This little Raddy NW3 has so many different power sources that you'll never run out of radio when you need it most. Double-A batteries, solar power with Nicad battery backup, and a backup power generator when all else fails. The radio is lightweight and has an easy-to-read display. Small enough to carry in your pocket but large enough not to fall off or lose. The yellow and black body makes it easy to see. The antenna folds and folds for easy storage. The control buttons are a bit small and the labeling difficult to read, but responds well. The radio reception is comparable to more expensive models. A nice touch for hikers and survivalists is a bottle opener on the handle. There is also a flashlight and an SOS sound signal. And it's loud. For the price you won't be disappointed.
