Bob's books are so incredibly simply illustrated and written that I'm a little embarrassed not to write my own books. My five year old can handle it, it's just what beginning readers need. No other beginner's books I've found were easy enough to actually encourage very early reading. The little game is made a little oddly, but my two kids enjoyed playing with it. The real value, however, is in the books.
