Just received and installed this. However, it is stitched and made from the same material as the police gear bags I bought over 20 years ago. There are many straps and these straps are long enough to secure the suitcase. I used three PVC tubular tires inside the boat to keep it snug. If it isn't tight, it will have too much play and allow water to pool that would then not spill water. You need to use something substantial to create lift. This is a heavy shell. It's pretty cumbersome. So it's not a quick install. Expect it to take 25 minutes the first time, then 15 minutes thereafter. Once I figured out where the front was, I tied the supplied strip of fabric to it. I really wish they would mark the front somehow because it took me 10 minutes to find them. I expect this cover to last beyond the warranty, especially considering putting more UV protection on it next year.
